Start with Your Concerns

What Would You Like to Focus On?

Choose an area to explore. You can bring several concerns to the same consultation.

Begin with Hormone Evaluation

Discuss energy, libido, recovery, and relevant history. Your provider evaluates possible causes and determines whether confirmatory hormone testing is appropriate.

Explore hormone health

This guide helps you explore services; it does not diagnose a condition or select a medication.

Hormone Health

Testosterone Replacement Therapy & Hormone Health

Low energy, changes in libido, and reduced recovery can have several causes. We assess the wider picture before considering testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).

TRT may be considered for appropriately diagnosed testosterone deficiency, using symptoms and confirmatory blood testing. Discuss future fertility with your provider; testosterone therapy can reduce sperm production. Follow-up assesses response and safety.

Understand the Pattern

Discuss when symptoms began, how they affect daily life, relevant history, and your priorities.

Review Your Options

Your provider explains testing, potential benefits, risks, and alternatives before recommending care.

Keep Care Responsive

Follow-up and relevant labs help assess tolerability and whether the plan remains appropriate.

Compare Men’s Hormone Care Options

Testosterone therapy is considered after confirming a clinical diagnosis. A single low result or fatigue alone does not establish a need for treatment.

Men’s Hormone Care: Options to Discuss
Option When It May Fit What to Discuss
Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) Symptoms plus consistently low testosterone confirmed with appropriate testing. Discuss cause, fertility goals, blood count, prostate considerations, sleep apnea, cardiovascular history, and monitoring.
Topical Testosterone A daily route when appropriate for your plan and routine. Application instructions and preventing transfer to others matter.
Injectable Testosterone An alternative route with a provider-set dosing schedule. Timing of doses and follow-up blood testing affects interpretation. Do not self-adjust.
Other Formulations Questions about troches or other compounded routes. Availability, absorption, evidence, and risks differ. Your provider explains approved alternatives and the reason for any compounded prescription.
Bioidentical Hormones, Delivery Routes & Formulations

“Bioidentical” describes a hormone with the same molecular structure as a hormone the body produces. It does not mean risk-free or necessarily compounded; some FDA-approved hormone medications are also bioidentical.

Depending on the medication and clinical need, options may include patches, creams or gels, oral therapy, injections, or selected compounded formulations such as troches. Routes are not interchangeable. Your provider reviews absorption, dosing, safety, lifestyle fit, and approved alternatives before prescribing.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Discuss why a compounded formulation is needed and how its risks and quality controls compare with available approved products.

Thyroid, DHEA & Other Hormone Questions

Thyroid medication, DHEA, and pregnenolone were included in our hormone-care guide as topics for individualized discussion. They are not routine additions to every plan. Symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, or weight changes can have many causes.

Your provider determines whether thyroid or other testing is useful, whether a diagnosed deficiency warrants treatment, and when specialist input is appropriate. T4 or combination thyroid therapy, DHEA, and pregnenolone each have different indications, evidence, risks, and monitoring requirements. No option is selected solely to raise a number or promise better performance.

Energy · Recovery · Metabolism

Look at the Whole Picture.

Sleep, nutrition, medication use, daily routines, and medical history can overlap with hormone and metabolic concerns. Start with evaluation, then discuss the options that have a clear purpose in your plan.

Energy & Sleep

Review fatigue, sleep quality, training or work demands, and recovery before considering supportive therapies.

Purposeful Testing

Use your symptoms and history to guide relevant labs. Bring recent results to avoid unnecessary duplication.

Nutrient, NAD+ & Peptide Consultations

NAD+, antioxidant, nutrient, and peptide options may be discussed after intake. Evidence, product, route, availability, and monitoring matter; these options are not a universal treatment for fatigue or aging.

Your clinician explains expected value, risks, and alternatives before you decide. Read the detailed Cellular & Metabolic Optimization guide.

Compare Care Paths & Common Pairings
How Hormone and Wellness Care Fit Together
Care Path Primary Purpose How It Coordinates
Hormone Care Evaluate and treat a clinically appropriate hormone condition. Symptoms, relevant testing, medication risks, and follow-up guide the plan.
Medical Weight Loss Address weight-management goals and eligibility for treatment. Nutrition, activity, strength, and metabolic health are considered alongside hormone concerns.
Nutrient / Metabolic Support Discuss specific nutritional or metabolic needs. NAD+, glutathione, MICC, L-carnitine, B-complex, or peptide questions require separate evidence, product, and candidacy review.
Hair & Skin Care Address visible concerns such as unwanted hair or thinning. Coordinate the appropriate aesthetic service with evaluation of possible internal contributors.

Sermorelin and other peptide options are discussed only when appropriate after intake, with product availability, evidence, risks, and alternatives explained. Combining services does not guarantee better results. Each treatment has its own purpose, cost, and monitoring plan.

Connected Care

Confidence Is Personal.

Sexual Wellness & Libido

A private consultation can address changes in libido or erection quality. Your provider reviews possible contributors, medications, and cardiovascular health before discussing treatment options, including prescription choices when appropriate.

You do not need to choose a medication before booking. Your consultation determines whether treatment, additional testing, or referral is the next step.

Hair Thinning & Restoration

Discuss the pattern and cause of hair loss, scalp health, and your goals. Options may include topical or oral medication and in-office PRP when appropriate.

Explore PRP & PRF or review the detailed hair and wellness options.

Timeline & Outcomes

A Plan You Can Understand.
Progress You Can Review.

Timing depends on your findings and care plan. We establish what to track and when to reassess.

1ESTABLISH YOUR BASELINE

At Your Consultation

Review your symptoms, priorities, medications, and relevant history. Bring recent labs; your provider recommends additional testing only when useful.

2MAKE A PLAN

After Your Evaluation

Discuss findings, candidacy, options, costs, and alternatives. Agree on a plan and monitoring schedule before starting treatment.

3REVIEW YOUR RESPONSE

At Planned Follow-Up

Assess symptoms, tolerability, and relevant markers. Continue, adjust, or reconsider care based on meaningful benefit and safety.

Prepare for Your Consultation

Bring a list of medications and supplements with doses and timing, prior hormone treatment details, recent lab results, and your main questions. Note when symptoms began, how often they occur, and how they affect sleep, mood, energy, libido, or daily life.

Include fertility plans, sexual symptoms, sleep or snoring concerns, training and recovery patterns, and changes in strength or body composition. Share relevant surgeries, clotting history, cancers, prostate concerns, cardiovascular conditions, and prior testosterone use.

Your clinician determines which hormone, metabolic, thyroid, blood-sugar, or safety tests are appropriate. Follow the lab’s preparation and timing instructions; bring existing results to avoid unnecessary duplication.

Treatment Timeline, Follow-Up & Monitoring

Care progresses from intake and lab review to a treatment decision, early follow-up, and ongoing reassessment. Testing and scheduling may take several weeks; dose or route adjustments can extend that process.

Response depends on the condition and treatment. Some symptoms may change over weeks, while other goals need months of reassessment. There is no guaranteed sequence of improvements in sleep, energy, libido, weight, or body composition.

Your provider sets the first follow-up and repeat-lab timing for your medication and health history. Some plans use 3–6-month reviews once appropriate; earlier checks may be necessary after starting or changing treatment. Track symptoms, take medication as directed, complete scheduled labs, and report side effects promptly. Ongoing treatment is reviewed for benefit, safety, and continued need.

How We Approach Pharmacy Quality

Strive Pharmacy is our primary compounding pharmacy partner. Its published standards describe ingredient documentation, potency testing, and sterility and endotoxin testing for sterile batches. Your care team can identify the pharmacy preparing your prescription.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Pharmacy credentials do not establish that a medication is appropriate for you; your clinician reviews the evidence, alternatives, and risks.

Candidacy, Side Effects & When to Seek Care

Testosterone may be inappropriate with near-term fertility plans, breast or prostate cancer, elevated blood counts, untreated severe sleep apnea, certain prostate findings, or some cardiovascular or clotting conditions. Your provider reviews these before prescribing.

Possible side effects vary and may include acne, oily skin, hair changes, fluid retention, increased red-blood-cell levels, and reduced sperm production. Blood testing and follow-up help identify problems; do not adjust medication on your own.

Seek urgent care for chest pain, shortness of breath, one-sided weakness, sudden severe headache, vision changes, or a serious allergic reaction. Contact your provider promptly about other new or persistent side effects.

Men’s Health & Wellness FAQ

Do I Need to Know Which Treatment I Want?

No. Start with your goals and symptoms. Your consultation helps determine whether testing, lifestyle support, treatment, or another evaluation makes sense.

Does Every Man with Fatigue Need Testosterone?

No. Fatigue has many possible contributors. Testosterone treatment requires an appropriate diagnosis and an individualized discussion of benefits, risks, and monitoring.

Are Labs and Medications Included in the Consultation?

No. Labs, prescriptions, and treatments are additional. Full-panel blood work starts at $250, and your provider confirms the recommended testing and total cost before proceeding.

Can I Combine Hormone Care and Weight Management?

You can discuss both in one consultation. Your provider evaluates whether a coordinated plan is appropriate and explains any separate treatment fees and follow-up needs.

Does This Replace My Regular Medical Care?

Wellness services complement your regular medical care. Bring your medication list and relevant history so your provider can consider coordination, further evaluation, or referral when appropriate.

How Is Hormone Therapy Different from General Wellness Care?

Hormone replacement therapy treats an appropriate hormone-related condition with prescribed medication and monitoring. A wellness consultation also considers sleep, nutrition, medications, metabolic concerns, and other possible causes of symptoms. Evaluation may lead to hormone treatment, another approach, or referral.

Is Hormone Therapy a Weight-Loss Treatment?

No. Hormone therapy is not a weight-loss medication. If weight or body composition is a priority, your clinician can discuss nutrition, activity, metabolic evaluation, and medical weight-loss options as appropriate.

Will I Need Hormone Treatment Forever?

Not necessarily. Treatment duration depends on the condition, symptom response, risks, and your preferences. Your provider periodically reviews whether to continue, adjust, or stop treatment. Changes should be made with clinical guidance.

Can Testosterone Treatment Affect Fertility?

Yes. Testosterone treatment can suppress sperm production. Tell your provider if you want children now or in the future before treatment begins. A fertility-focused evaluation or specialist referral may be more appropriate.
