Do I need labs before starting a plan?
Often, yes—especially for hormone optimization or symptom-driven planning. Labs help confirm candidacy, establish a safe baseline, and guide dosing and follow-up. If labs are not required for your starting point, we’ll explain what we’re doing and why.
How is Functional Wellness different from a regular checkup?
Traditional checkups focus on screening and “normal ranges.” Functional Wellness often goes deeper into patterns, symptom timelines, and targeted biomarkers, with the goal of optimization and quality of life—while staying safety-first and medically appropriate.
Do I have to do BHRT to participate in Functional Wellness?
No. BHRT (Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy) is optional and only recommended when your symptoms, history, and labs support safe candidacy. Many guests work with us for metabolic support, cellular optimization options, recovery support, and healthy-aging strategy without BHRT.
What happens at the first visit?
We review goals, symptoms, medical history, current medications/supplements, and your “why” for seeking care now. If labs are appropriate, we’ll recommend a targeted set and explain what each marker helps clarify. The goal is a plan that feels clear, realistic, and aligned with your lifestyle.
How long does it take to feel results?

Is Functional Wellness for women only?

Can I do this if I’m already on medications from my PCP?
